PRODUCT DETAILS
Hand-assembled using aero-bladed Alpina Ultralite Aero spokes and lightning-fast, low-resonance 36-tooth double-disc ratchet hubs with high-performance bearings, the CORE SL 5 Carbon Disc wheelset is engineered to go fast everywhere. Ultra-light and wind-tunnel optimised, it delivers razor-sharp responsiveness, explosive acceleration, and effortless speed on both flats and climbs.
Evolving from the proven SuperLight+ platform and refined through extensive on-bike testing, the high-modulus carbon rims now feature an updated 24 mm internal width front and rear. This improves tire compatibility, grip, and ride comfort with no measurable aerodynamic penalty. Making the CORE SL 5 the ultimate all-terrain weapon.

EVERY WATT COUNTS
Aerodynamics is in our DNA. Our previous-generation wheels set a highly competitive benchmark, and our refined CORE SL 5 has been proven in the wind tunnel to outperform some of the world’s fastest wheels.
Want to see the wind-tunnel results?
By harnessing what we've learnt since launch, our new SuperLight Wheelsets focus primarily on an impressive weight reduction in which the carbon material and resin utilisation has been optimised whilst the integrity of rim remains uncompromised alongside the aerodynamic advantage they offer. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where are Scribe Wheels built?
ALL wheels under the Scribe domain are 100% hand-built by our master wheel technicians directly from our operations in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
We work with the best cycling manufactuers across the globe in the pursuit of offering our riders the fastest wheels possible with exceptional QC standards. As such, our supply chain is extremely unique. The carbon-fibre & bearings comes from Japan, the grease comes from Germany, and our hubs come from Taiwan.
We never hold back.
How do I quieten my Scribe Wheels?
Most love the buzz but while we understand our hub designs may be slightly noisier than others. This is actually recognised as a sign of positive engagement. However, everyone within the Scribe Collective is different. So, if you're interested in dampening our freehub buzz, the tone can be muted by applying some of our exclusive MV1 Ratchet Grease
