Scribe Cycling & (our off-road partner brand) SILT MTB are leading road and MTB cycling wheel brands. Our ethos is to bring leading-edge products to the market that challenge the leaders for space, but at more desirable price points. 

Founded by a team of passionate cyclists, we are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to help grow and nurture the IBD market.

Scribe is becoming the go-to wheel brand for customers looking to upgrade to a high-performance wheelset, without breaking the bank. SILT is a robust, hard-hitting MTB range that’s already proven on the World cup stage (DH and Enduro), and we have many high-profile riders on our wheels, including Red Bull athletes.

Your Role

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in driving our business forward by developing new relationships & maintaining existing ones. Your focus will be on engaging with cycle retailers, industry brands, and professionals to raise awareness and grow our business.

This is a field-based sales role, and you will be the face of Scribe / SILTMTB, helping local bike shops deliver our unique 5-star service to their customers. This is a performance-driven role with industry-leading commission, bonus, and benefits schemes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by targeting viable prospects.
  • Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the cycling industry and our unique services.
  • Take ownership of the entire sales process including generating leads, presenting our service, negotiation and securing business.
  • Develop and nurture a strong network of industry contacts to consistently achieve and succeed targets.
  • Represent Scribe / SILT at events to network, create leads and generate new business.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ years sales experience in cycling industry 
  • A passion for cycling in any form
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in an influential and persuasive manner 
  • Strong commercial acumen 
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets 
  • Excellent selling skills built on trust and reliability 
  • A full UK driving license 

Desirable Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of the cycle industry in your area 
  • Knowledge and contacts in the cycling racing scene in your area
